Trump National Bedminster
The planned location of the 2022 PGA Championship was owned by Daniel Axtell and his son William between 1726 and 1760. The land was part of the Axtell's over 2,000 acre tract that is identified as the "Major Daniel Axtel Land" tract on a 1747 map. Our common ancestors were Wlliam Axtell and Thomasine Cutler whose son Daniel was executed, drawn and quartered in 1660 for his role in the execution of Charles I in 1649. Daniel, the orginal purchaser of the land in 1626, was a merchant from the island of Jamaica where he was connected to Edward Thache, the pirate known as Blackbeard. His son Willam married Margaret De Peyster whose mother was a Van Cortlandt. A portrait of William was donated by Clarence Douglas Dillon, former Secretary of the Treasury and resident of Bedminster and Jupiter Island, to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is displayed in the Colonial Portraiture gallery. Hopefully, the 2022 PGA Program will mention the Axtells. The 2022 PGA at Bedminster was cancelled because of President Trump's role in the January 6 Insurrection. The course is now used as the Saudi-backed LIV golf tournament at Bedminster during the mid-July to mid-August period.

Handicap Computations:

Handicap Index = Multiply the Average of the N best Handicap Differentials by .96

Where:
N depends on the lesser of the actual number of rounds played or 20. N=10 with at least 20 rounds played.
Handicap Differential for each round = (adjusted score - Course Rating) x (113/Slope Rating)

Course Handicap = Handicap Index x (Slope Rating/113)
