Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic defeated Ons Jabeur 6-4, 6-4 of Tunisia to become the first unseeded ladies' singles champion.

Carlos Alcaraz wins 1-6, 7-6(8), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 over Novak Djokovic for his 1st Wimbledon title and his 2nd Grand Slam title
Djokovic was attempting to become only the third man in the Open era to win five consecutive Wimbledon titles and only the second to win eight in all.

Rory McIlroy produced a brilliant birdie-birdie finish to snuff out home hero Robert MacIntyre's potential fairytale win.
With his win, Rory became the first player in history to win the Scottish Open, The Open, and the Irish Open.

Lucas Glover wins back-to-back titles with a 265 (-15) playoff win over Patrick Cantlay who shot a final round 64 (-6). He trailed Lucas by 5 shots at the start of the round. Lucas won $3.6 million.

Victor Hovland of Norway comes from 3 strokes behind to win 263 (-17) with an historic FedEx Cup and course record low round of 61 to edge out Scottie Scheffler and Matt Fitzpatrick by a stroke. Scheffler missed a 6-foot putt for par on 17. Victor won at the Memorial in May and has not missed a cut in 2023.

The final score was USA 14.5-11.5. The USA's No. 1 amateur in the world, Gordon Sargent won all four of his matches on the Old Course at St. Andrews.
