The missing ancestors are those of Christiana Stewart.1833-1901, the wife of William Bartholomew.1833-1915. Heinrich Bartholomew.1728-1807, The Immigrant AncestorDWB's paternal 3rd great-grandfather Heinrich Bartholomew was born in 1728 and immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1751. On the Allentown, PA Wikipedia home page it is falsely reported that Henry Bartholomew and his neighbor John Snyder drove a wagon containing the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia to the Zion Reform Church in Allentown on September 17,1777. What happened was described in the Allentown Morning Call on Friday, October 22, 1937. These two wagon masters transported valuable documents and money from Philadelphia to Easton, PA. Also, appointed to convey these important items were Mr. Lowden and Mr. Hope, to guard the money and papers; and two others to guard the wagon. Bartholomew and Snyder were probably selected on the recommendation of two neighbors, John Ralston, a member of the General Assembly, and General Conrad Kreidler, Wagon-Master of the Revolutionary Army in Northampton County. At the time Henry was a few days short of celebrating his 49th birthday on September 28. Heinrich served in the 2nd Company. 4th Battalion, Captain George Edelman's Co.
